Ben Goddard graduated from The Academy of Contemporary Music in 2008, before completing a years internship with SonyBMG. Leaving there to do his own music, Ben spent the next 5 years writing, recording and touring with his own band, playing festivals with the likes of Bastille, London Grammar, Sam Smith, The Hoosiers and many more. 2 of Ben’s songs charted on iTunes and another was a B-side on an album by Aretha Franklin.
In 2012, Ben Goddard started teaching music in schools and now inspires 150 students a week. The popularity of Ben’s lessons and methods grew so much that in January 2024, Ben formed the Winchester Academy of Modern Music – A Music Academy that delivers highly inspirational and productive music lessons to schools in the South of England.
Away from music and teaching, Ben enjoys spending time with his family in the great outdoors. He is a keen footballer and can often be found at St Mary’s cheering on the mighty Saints!
